- None Ioniser
- 105 cm Height
Pros
- Combined glass HEPA H13 and activated-carbon filter in a sealed machine

Cons
- No clean air delivery rate published, so hard to compare with filter-only purifiers

- Not for
- Anyone who needs heating (look at the Hot+Cool HP1) or wants a purifier rated by CADR.
Our verdict
The Purifier Cool PC1 (UK model TP11, white part 544903-01) is Dyson’s entry-level purifier fan: a 105 cm loop tower that filters the air all year and cools you in warm weather. One combined glass HEPA H13 and activated-carbon filter does the cleaning, and Dyson says the whole machine is sealed to H13, tested at 0.1 microns. PM2.5 and PM10 sensors drive auto mode. There are 10 airflow settings, oscillation up to 350°, a diffused mode that purifies without a breeze, and a night mode with a dimmed screen.
The gaps hold it back. Dyson publishes no CADR: its whole-room claim rests on its own test in an 81 m³ room, so it can’t be compared like for like with filter-only purifiers or sized with our room rule. None of the UK pages we could read gives a noise figure, its power use, the filter’s part number or how often to change it. Confirm the filter with Dyson using the serial number; our guide to replacement filters explains what to check.
If you want heating as well, the Hot+Cool HP1 adds a thermostat-controlled heater and takes a filter whose part number is published.

Dyson Purifier Cool PC1 (TP11) questions
Which replacement filter fits the Dyson Purifier Cool PC1 (TP11)?
A combined glass HEPA and carbon filter made for the PC1, but no UK page we could read gives its part number, and the manual names the filter type only. Confirm the part with Dyson using your machine’s serial number before buying. The filter isn’t washable, and the screen and MyDyson app show how much filter life is left.
How do I reset the filter life on a Dyson PC1 after changing the filter?
Hold the Night mode button on the remote until the five-second countdown on the screen finishes. To change the filter, switch off and unplug, press the buttons on both sides to release the outer covers, fit the new filter until its tabs click, then refit the covers. When moving the machine, lift it by the base, never by the loop on top.
Can the Dyson PC1 purify without blowing cold air at me?
Yes. Diffused mode sends the airflow out of the back of the machine, so it keeps purifying the room without a cooling breeze, which helps in winter. Night mode is the other quiet option: it keeps monitoring and purifying on the quietest settings with a dimmed screen, and the same button sets a sleep timer of 15 minutes to 9 hours.
How do I turn off Wi-Fi on a Dyson Purifier Cool?
Hold the standby button on the machine itself, not the remote, for five seconds; do the same to switch Wi-Fi back on. Wi-Fi is on out of the box. Continuous monitoring, which keeps the sensors reading between uses, starts switched off: hold the Auto mode button on the remote for five seconds to turn it on or off.
What should I do when my Dyson PC1 shows an error code?
Switch the machine off and on again, and if the code is still there, contact Dyson Customer Care. Keep your receipt: UK retailers list a two-year guarantee and say proof of purchase is needed to support a claim. For routine care, wipe it with a damp lint-free cloth and brush dust from the inlet holes; don’t use detergents or polish.
