Our verdict
The Airmega 150 is a slim, upright purifier aimed at bedrooms, and it is on Quiet Mark’s UK list of certified purifiers. Coway rates its Silent mode at 20 dB and its top speed at 52 dB. The manual suggests Silent for sleeping, because Auto can speed up when readings change, and one press of the Mood button turns the large colour light off.
Coway’s UK page gives a CADR of 281 m³/h but no test standard. By our five-air-changes rule that suits a room of about 23 m²; Coway itself says it cleans 29 m² in 15 minutes, which is four air changes an hour, and quotes 73 m² as its maximum coverage. Auto mode follows a particle sensor whose sensitivity you can adjust if the light seems stuck.
There is no ioniser, app, remote or timer: what you get is quiet running and simple upkeep. Warranty is two years, plus a third when you register one bought from 1 March 2026. Compare it with other quiet picks in our best air purifiers for bedrooms.
Filters and running costs
The pre-filter pulls out by its handle without opening the case; vacuum or wash it every two to four weeks, let it dry completely and push it fully home. The carbon and GreenHEPA filters come as one set, Coway UK store number 3109700, and both last about 12 months at eight hours a day on speed 2, so it is one change a year. Hold the Mood/Filter Reset button for three seconds to clear the alarm. Power runs from 2.9 W to 35 W, so eight hours uses between about 0.02 and 0.28 kWh. Parts are in our filter finder.

Coway Airmega 150 (AP-1019C) questions
Which filter fits the Coway Airmega 150?
The Airmega 150 Filter Set, Coway UK store number 3109700, which holds an activated carbon filter and a GreenHEPA filter; the same set fits the Airmega 150 Art. The washable pre-filter is separate and comes in white, green and navy. When fitting, the white side of the GreenHEPA faces the carbon filter and the green side faces the fan.
How often do I change the filters on a Coway Airmega 150?
Once a year for the main filters. Coway’s cycle is 12 months for both the carbon and GreenHEPA filters, based on eight hours a day at speed 2, so longer or faster running brings the change forward. The pre-filter isn’t replaced on a schedule: clean it every two to four weeks by vacuuming or washing it.
How do I reset the filter alarm on a Coway Airmega 150?
Hold the Mood/Filter Reset button for three seconds after cleaning or replacing the filter the alarm points to. The alarm covers the pre-filter as well as the main filters, so it comes on for cleaning as well as for the yearly change. Clean the pollution sensor every two months with a soft brush or vacuum too, or its readings drift.
Can I turn off the light on a Coway Airmega 150 at night?
Yes. One press of the Mood/Filter Reset button turns the four-colour pollution light off, and another press turns it back on. For sleeping, Coway suggests Silent mode rather than Auto, because Auto can speed the fan up as readings change; Coway rates Silent at 20 dB, and the purifier is on Quiet Mark’s UK list.
Does the Coway Airmega 150 have an ioniser?
No. Its only cleaning stages are the pre-filter, the deodorisation (carbon) filter and the GreenHEPA filter, and the manual lists no ioniser among its buttons or features. That suits UK advice that is cautious about ionisers: SAGE-EMG did not recommend them unless their safety is proven, because they may create irritant by-products.
